Jane gained her B.A.Hons at Manchester Polytechnic in 1979. After a few years in interior design she found her true vocation as a craft enameller creating a new technique which remains unique after 30 years. She makes pictures, jewellery, boxes and buttons. Her jewellery is durable and affordable and to be worn every day.
Her method of stencilling complex designs on to copper maintains a vibrant colour and texture for each handcrafted item. She designs and makes one-off pieces, with strong bold shapes and forms and an eclectic range of styles and subject matter. Each is rich in colour and pattern, and strongly influenced by Arabian objects and colours.
